
The location for the 5th and 6th Grade Band Concert scheduled for Tuesday October 22 at 7:00 pm has been moved to the Tipton Middle School gymnasium.

We have some really fun things happening this week! Stay up to date with everything going on. The book fair is up all week and open to the public during conferences. We look forward to seeing you!


Last week we kicked off the Kids Heart Challenge! Thank you Sydney for educating us! The Elementary School will participate in the KHC to raise money for the American Heart Association from now until November 8th. Each student should have information that was sent out digitally as well as paper forms brought home! If the Elementary school can reach their goal of $5,500 Mr. Ormsby and Mr. Heitland will SLEEP ON THE ROOF of the Elementary school!





Physics can be fun! These students worked with pinewood derby cars to race to the finish line on their Turbo Torque Project. Winners got bragging rights and everyone got to write a paper on their findings!

Tipton Education Boosters donated a book to each 3rd grade student and they were able to pick it out at the book fair on Friday! Thank you so much TEB! Remember the book fair is open next week and during conferences!





Mrs. Foss's 6th graders and Mrs. Gerken's kindergarten class are collaborating during writer's workshop. The 6th grade is getting a deeper look into the basics of early reading/writing development and the kindergarten students are getting constant positive feedback to help progress their writing and reading skills.








Tonight the Tigers take the field one final time this season. Support the Tipton football team and cheerleaders in Monticello tonight, kickoff is at 7pm. Go Tigers!

8th grade students finished up their first rotation of exploratory classes at the High School. Monday they will move to a new class. Mr. Wehde's students were finishing up their tool boxes in the shop for their last day!

We had a "Champion Walk" to celebrate our Cross Country All-Conference Individuals as well as your 2024 RVC Girls Champions, who absolutely crushed the competition on Tuesday!!







Dickson and Luann Jensen are gifting the book "Just Like Caitlin" to EVERY second grader in Iowa and over the last week our second graders got theirs! We hope these students love reading and learning this story of a young Iowan and are inspired to believe their future can be greater than they imagine! Thank you Jensen Family!




Fresh Paint with Christine Boeve was a great experience for Mrs. Gehrs class! Each student painted a canvas and added their own personal touches to them!









Miss Sarah from Cedar Valley Conservation was a guest in our first grade classes yesterday teaching us all about SPIDERS! Students learned the parts of a spider, where they live, and even got to play a spider hunt game to learn about how spiders camouflage. Thank you Miss Sarah!





Tank the Tiger got to visit Liberty Trust and Savings Bank this week! He learned about using the money counting machines, opening loans and accounts , and also got to help customers in drive-through and on the phone ! He brought some goodies back for the students at TES!
