Thank you to Connie and Mary with the VFW Auxiliary for reading to our first graders. The students loved hearing their stories and learning more about our flag and veterans.

The 5th graders had a great time at Garuda Farms today! Sean Malone showed them all about hydroponics and the students were able to use their knowledge about photosynthesis to see how lettuce grows. They even got to plant some lettuce that they will get to take home in 4-5 weeks! The students were excited to learn that the lettuce grown at Garuda Farms is sold at Family Foods, which is right in their community.

#WelcomeWednesday for our new Public Relations Coordinator, Erica Heitland. She is a great addition to the district and dedicated to helping us move towards our goals! Welcome to Tipton!

SRO Dierks has an exciting report from this morning: "Vienna did an amazing job helping me this morning! We checked doors and made sure they were secure. She got to check in on her sisters. She even delivered an important note from Principal Woods to Ms Tracy in the Middle School. This was no easy task as we entered the middle school wing and there were big kiddos in the halls but Vienna was not deterred, she forged ahead to get the important note delivered. After we made our rounds Vienna took a little break at my desk. I told her that every good officer has to enjoy a good cup of coffee =)"

Thank you to SRO Dierks for organizing the event and the rest of Tipton PD for spending time with our students! Capture the flag with Tipton PD was so much fun, we hope this event continues to grow!

Another CONGRATULATIONS to Noelle Steines! On Saturday she won the Class 2A cross country title making her a 4-time State Champion in the event, just the second Iowa girl to ever accomplish that! A successful weekend for all Tiger Cross Country teams in Fort Dodge! Go Tigers!
