Congrats to both the 6th and 7th/8th grade bands for earning a Division I Superior rating at the SEIBA Middle School/Junior High Concert Band Festival hosted by West Liberty. Bands performed for an audience and 2 judges, received a clinic, and watched two bands perform.

We have spring conferences tonight from 3:30-7:30 and all day tomorrow from 8:30-7:30. While you're in the buildings be sure to admire all the student artwork that is on display! In the Middle and Elementary Schools art is hung in the hallways and can be found near grade level classrooms. At the High School, there are display cases on each floor with student work, and tomorrow will be a larger selection in the cafeteria. We have some talented artists in Tipton!

Today is Paraeducator Appreciation day, there are not enough words to express how much paraeducators do for our students, teachers, and district. Beyond academic support, they fill our students with understanding, compassion and kindness! They are willing to help in every situation and are such a vital piece to our puzzle! Tipton golf hits the greens today to open their 2026 season. The girls will be competing on their home course at Tipton Golf & Country Club and the boys travel to Wilton and Wahkonsa Country Club. Good Luck Tiger Golfers!

7th-8th grade East Central Iowa Choral Director's Association honor choir took place at Mt. Vernon High School. 170 students worked all day with guest conductor Chris Johnson and put on an evening concert for their families. It is always great to get out and make music with other schools. 🎶

8th grade students took part in a powerful learning experience as they prepared for their upcoming Commemorative Projects honoring Holocaust survivors and upstanders from World War II. Using interactive technology developed by the USC Shoah Foundation, students were able to ask questions and engage in life-like conversations with recorded testimonies of survivors and upstanders. This unique experience allowed students to hear personal stories and explore history through meaningful, student-driven inquiry.
Individual State Speech is done and in the books!
