Today at summer school, four soon to be first graders took it upon themselves to clean up the equipment shed and playground during their recess time. “Today is our last day. We need to get this in tip-top shape!” one of the students was overheard saying to the others.
Summer school adventures continue! We're "building" some great readers!

Congrats to these Tigers on Individual Honors by RVC and SE Iowa District Coaches. Ian, Jett & the rest of the Tigers will face Wilton Saturday at 7:00 (in Wilton) in the District final. Tickets must be bought at https://www.iahsaa.org/tickets then go to 2A.
Students and staff are hard at work, and hard at play during summer school!
Tiger Baseball is on a roll. After back to back upsets vs #3 and #2 seeds we play for the District Title Saturday night. Lots of credit to our older guys leading the way. Some huge individual performances, but mainly lots of guys stepping up to help the team any way they can.
Tiger Baseball with an opening round upset last night vs Marquette. Great team win . The tourney trail gets tougher with 2 seed, Durant on Tuesday in a 5:00 game at Northeast Goose Lake. All tickets must be purchased in advance at www.iahsaa.org/tickets/
We are hoping the rain holds off, and we can still watch our movie tonight! Doors open at 8:30pm to get popcorn and drinks, movie starts at about 8:45pm. I recommend bringing lawn chairs instead of blankets. After all the rain we've had, I imagine the ground is still pretty wet.
Unfortunately, we have to postpone tonight's outdoor movie due to the rain. Fingers crossed for better weather as we reschedule the movie for Friday, July 5th - same place, same time! Bring blankets and/or lawn chairs. Drinks and popcorn provided. Doors open at 8:30pm.
Tonight's Varsity baseball game that had been moved to Wilton has been postponed for tonight. The reschedule date has yet to be determined.
Come join us Friday, June 28th at 8:45pm on the field in front of the elementary for a FREE outdoor screening of the new movie, IF, on our 20 ft movie screen! Drinks and snacks provided, but you can also bring your own. Blankets and lawn chairs encouraged. Doors open at 8:30pm.
Congratulations to Tipton sophomore Shelby Griebat for receiving the 2024 Aaron Eliarts Community Service Award as part of the Iowa Character Awards!! Shelby will be one of the honorees at the Iowa Character Awards to be held at Prairie Meadows in Altoona on August 2.
