
After some work and some play during PD yesterday, staff are eager to get students back in their classrooms today.







Staff kicked off the PD day today with a district wide meeting addressing chronic absenteeism. We are working together to ensure our students are present at school and able to be successful in the classroom.



CONGRATS to the girls and boys cross country team punching their ticket to STATE! Let's go TIGERS!




Yesterday Elementary students and staff met with their OHANA groups for the first time. Wonderful time for collaboration among grades in our building!





Day 2 of conferences! While you're in the building check out the awesome student work on display in the halls of each building, including a pumpkin painting contest, and the last day to stop by the book fair in the K-8 Library!



Middle School Lifting with Coach Glubka starts next week.

NEWSIES Stop the World


#WelcomeWednesday Mr. Hanna is a substitute teacher for part of the week and is the FCS teacher the rest of the week. We appreciate his willingness to help and be flexible. Mr. Hanna is a great addition to the staff in both buildings, welcome to Tipton!


Elementary students breaking in the new turf at recess today. They have been patiently waiting to enjoy this extra recess space safely and are so excited to have it done! Elementary school fundraisers and the help of the Tipton Foundation made this awesome new equipment possible! Thank you!





The location for the 5th and 6th Grade Band Concert scheduled for Tuesday October 22 at 7:00 pm has been moved to the Tipton Middle School gymnasium.

We have some really fun things happening this week! Stay up to date with everything going on. The book fair is up all week and open to the public during conferences. We look forward to seeing you!


Physics can be fun! These students worked with pinewood derby cars to race to the finish line on their Turbo Torque Project. Winners got bragging rights and everyone got to write a paper on their findings!





Last week we kicked off the Kids Heart Challenge! Thank you Sydney for educating us! The Elementary School will participate in the KHC to raise money for the American Heart Association from now until November 8th. Each student should have information that was sent out digitally as well as paper forms brought home! If the Elementary school can reach their goal of $5,500 Mr. Ormsby and Mr. Heitland will SLEEP ON THE ROOF of the Elementary school!

Tipton Education Boosters donated a book to each 3rd grade student and they were able to pick it out at the book fair on Friday! Thank you so much TEB! Remember the book fair is open next week and during conferences!





Mrs. Foss's 6th graders and Mrs. Gerken's kindergarten class are collaborating during writer's workshop. The 6th grade is getting a deeper look into the basics of early reading/writing development and the kindergarten students are getting constant positive feedback to help progress their writing and reading skills.
