Each year the school district submits an annual progress report (APR) to the local community. The report contains district assessment data and other state requirements. The CASA is a collection site for reports, data, and progress notes for the district. It functions as a district-wide planning tool.

2019-2020 Lau Plan

The Tipton Community School Districts mission for a strong peer mentoring program is to positively impact the lives of young people by providing support and learning opportunities that promote character development and life-enhancing experiences.

Professional development encompasses all types of facilitated learning opportunities, ranging from college degrees to formal coursework, conferences and informal learning opportunities situated in practice. It has been described as intensive and collaborative and there are a variety of approaches to professional development, including consultation, coaching, communities of practice, lesson study, mentoring, reflective supervision and technical assistance.

The Teacher Leadership and Compensation System rewards effective teachers with leadership opportunities and higher pay, attracts promising new teachers with competitive starting salaries and more support, and fosters greater collaboration for all teachers to learn from each other.

Each public and accredited non-public school district in Iowa is required to have a School Improvement Advisory Committee (SIAC) comprised of representatives of the fabric of the community.

A major component of the Tipton Technology Plan is the development of a general set of profiles describing technology-literate students at key developmental points in their pre college education.
