Fine Arts Council

The Fine Arts Council of Tipton, Inc. (FACT) is a 501(c)(3) public charity that seeks to further the activities and growth of the fine arts, to encourage public interest in the activities in these areas, and to provide funds that cannot be met by the school district for attendance and transportation for approved trips; to finance and assist in the purchase of clothing, uniforms, and equipment; as well as provide encouragement to all students involved in the fine arts
areas of art, band, choir, dance, drama, and speech.

 

During the year, the Council provides refreshments at fine arts concerts/shows, coordinates a food stand for the District Speech Contest and State Large Group Music Contest, helps with the drama and speech banquets, helps with the fitting of uniforms/robes, takes tickets at drama productions, and other activities that support the fine arts and our fine art instructors.

The following photo shows students and teachers who took a trip to Chicago. This trip was made possible by a generous grant from the Masonic Lodge in Tipton.

Patron contributions are used by FACT to:

  1. Provide musical note and T yard signs for all fine arts students

  2. Send Thespian/drama students to state/national drama festivals

  3. Provide support for the dance team to compete

  4. Provide support for speech participation in district and state contests

  5. Provide art students opportunities to visit museums and art galleries

  6. Provide maintenance of band uniforms

  7. Provide Choir robes and the music technology stations

  8. Help with fundraisers to assist in the purchase of new uniforms and equipment for fine arts

  9. Provide summer marching band camp with water

  10. Support future endeavors to enhance the fine arts at Tipton High School

 

The Fine Arts Council is comprised of parents with students in the high school Art Club, Band, Choir, Dance, Drama, Speech, and Thespians. Funding for the Fine Arts Council comes from generous patrons from all over the community, such as parents, grandparents, families, individuals, and businesses who become Patrons of the Arts.

The annual Patrons of the Arts membership fund drive is crucial in supporting the fine arts programs. Please consider making a donation. Patrons of the Arts are recognized at art, band, choir, dance, drama and speech events in printed high school programs for these events throughout the school year.
