The Tipton School District provides a full range of technology to support learning and intstruction.

Students and staff have access to over 1,600 devices -- including full-featured desktop and laptop computers, Chromebooks, iPads and Android tablets .  Every building is equipped with high speed wireless internet access and all classrooms include interactive projectors and whiteboards.

Starting with the 2018-2019 school year, the high school implemented a 1:1 initiative by providing a chromebook to each student for 24/7 technology access.  Two PC laptop labs and an Android tablet mini-lab support our Project Lead the Way (PLTW) engineering courses and an Online Learning Lab is used to offer credit recovery and advanced courses through Edgenuity.  Two full-featured iMac labs support other disciplines such as business, art, yearbook and special education.

The middle school utilizes a modified 1:1 by providing every student with access to a Chromebook during the day.  Each classroom is equipped with a 28-30 unit Chromebook cart.  In addition, the 5th grade has a 30-unit iPad lab to support our PLTW Launch program.

The modified 1:1 extends down to the 2nd, 3rd and 4th grade as well.  These elementary classes are equipped with Chromebook carts to allow students access to a Chromebook throughout the day.  Each K-2 classroom is equipped with iPad Mini's for small group / individual work. The elementary also includes 3 MacBook Air mobile labs which are used primarily by K-2 but can be shared throughout the building.

Each November, the District partners with BrightBytes, an educational research and analytics company to analyze our technology infrastructure and implementation.  Students, teachers, administrators and parents provide very focused feedback to help us determine our strengths with technology and where we can improve.
