Coffee House

Tiger Coffee House is a student-run business that serves coffee, smoothies, and baked goods every Friday for the student body and staff. We work to create a good community and a positive outlook on our community. We venture outside the school as well to serve the public. We go to the middle school, fair, as well as community opens. We work very hard and take a lot of pride in what we do and hope to share our love for this business with you

Group & Individual Speech

Tipton has a strong history of excellence in speech, with a team comprised of approximately 40 students in total.

The word speech can be misleading as many of the events do not involve giving speeches at all. The speech team is a competition theatre company that performs on a group and individual level from January to March. Group speech events include Choral Reading, Readers' Theatre, Radio Broadcast, One Act, Ensemble, Group Mime, Musical Theatre, Group Improvisation, and TV News. Individual events include Prose, Poetry, Radio News, Solo Mime, Individual Improvisation, Acting, Public Address, Spontaneous Speaking, Original Oratory, Expository Speaking, Review, Storytelling, and Literary Program.

First Tech Challenge

FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) is an international STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) focused robotics program.

The team meets all year long, with competitions held in late Fall and Winter. Students build and program a Tetrix robot to complete in the annual game. Teams also go through an interview with a panel of judges at each competition with the goal of being nominated for one of the awards. This is Tipton's 3rd year having a team.

Students interested in joining the team or adults interested in volunteering should contact:

National Honor Society

National Honor Society has started the year with a variety of projects to help our community.

We have volunteered with the Historical Society Farm to help the local food bank. We are going to be doing a highway clean up to help beautify Tipton. We are also helping with homecoming activities where we will help collect money for the Ronald McDonald House and Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund.

Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA)

Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) is a dynamic and effective national student organization that helps young men and women become leaders and address important personal, family, work, and societal issues through Family and Consumer Sciences education, or as determined by the state department of education.

FCCLA has more than 219,000 members and nearly 6,500 chapters from 50 state associations, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands.

The organization has involved more than ten million youth since its founding in 1945.

FCCLA: The Ultimate Leadership Experience is unique among youth organizations because its programs are planned and run by members. It is the only career and technical in-school student organization with the family as its central focus.

Participation in national programs and chapter activities helps members become strong leaders in their families, careers, and communities.
