Professional development and curriculum alignment provides our teachers with high-impact learning opportunities. The Tipton Teachers and staff are able to attain skills and knowledge needed for both personal development and career advancement. Our Professional development encompasses all types of facilitated learning opportunities and has been described as intensive, collaborative, and fun. Professional development that takes place here in Tipton has a variety of approaches to professional learning, including small and large group collaboration, collegial discussions, and lesson study and planning.

Curriculum alignment and review is a continuous process that is incorporated throughout the year in professional development. Iowa Core Curriculum and Common Core standards are now required for all students, incorporating these concepts and skills into our curriculum will be an ongoing process. This process is to ensure that all students have access to the best educational instructional materials, strategies and skills needed to succeed in the 21^st century.
