The purpose of the THS Student Council is to develop a closer relationship among the student body, the faculty, and the administration; to assist the promotion of worthwhile activities and school spirit and to offer opportunities and experiences in leadership.

The first major responsibility of student council is to prepare for homecoming activities.  Various other activities will be undertaken throughout the school year.  In 2010-11, the Student Council paid for construction of new Art display cases for the high school art department.  The cases were constructed by Mike Wehde, THS Industrial Tech instructor.

Membership in Student Council is voluntary with interested students being voted upon by their classmates.  Each grade level will have five representatives on student council.
