Tipton High School has a new extra-curricular team. FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) is a competition for high school students using robotics. The team has been given a Tetrix robotic kit to use to build a robot to compete in this year’s game: Bowled Over. Tournament play is exciting with teams forming alliances to score as many points as possible during the two and a half minute game. FTC’s goal is to help young people have a fun time but also gain a better understanding about science, technology, engineering and math. If you’re interested in learning more about this year’s game, check out this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HUrKrKj6l-s. The official FTC website is also a great resource: http://www.usfirst.org/roboticsprograms/ftc.
